Nursing Home Visit

On our way to the nursing home for a 'dog day visit' we saw some memorable things.  The grape hyacinth blooming.
What looks to be a color coordinated flower and buoy arrangement.
The city doing its Spring cleaning.  Very nice to have clean streets for our walking.
This old dog in his car.  There were two dogs but one pasted away last year.  They use to jump out of that car and bark their heads off at Burns when we walked by.  Today the old dog was just quiet. Maybe he didn't hear us coming.
And finally at the nursing home burns treated this lady to a lap dog.  She loves dogs and misses hers very much.  We printed this picture and put it in a frame for her room.  They tell me she carries it around with her.

Geese Nesting

What a wonderful surprise yesterday to see two geese on our pond. They stayed around all day and into the evening.  I believe they may be nesting.

Magnets

I enjoy making picture magnets and sharing them with friends.  These were made using some of NitWit's remade templates that she had on sale this spring. Lovely, and wonderful for a quick gift. These were both scanned photos so not as crisp as digi photos.

Farm Bird Give-a-way

While on my daily walk I noticed a bright blue, shinny something in my neighbors yard.  On closer inspection it was a sculptured rooster.  What fun.  So I played with it and made a scrapbook page using RebeccaB Designs Farm Frollic freebie kit (I love her papers.) She has wonderful kits and lots of freebies.  Go check her out.

And here is a little sticker for you.  I forgot to make it 300 dpi, so it is only a tagger sticker. Sorry.

Dog Tired

I wondered about these pillars.  Are they Old, or something new?

And I have never seen rhubarb trying to grow on the side of a rock wall before.

It was cloudy all day and rained on us twice.

By the time we got home Burns was ready for a nap.

Typical Day

Today on your walk we approached this lovely blue house and something in the yard caught Burns attention.

At first I wondered if it was the yard ornament.

Or maybe it was the lovely white with salmon colored trumpet daffodils?
Or the Buddha in the yard. Who knows.  There were some kids jumping on a trampoline.... yep, that was probably the big attraction for the dog.  Go figure.

Believe in Magic

Well it's confirmed, Burns sits on command and lets me take his picture.  What a smart boy.  Also, I found out today that he is a Jack-A-Bee; mix between a Jack Russel Terrier and a Beagle. I always thought so. We got him from the Humane Society as a shelter dog, so no one could tell us much about him.  After 4 years he is perfectly at home and it seems to be a good match for both of us. The Hyacinths are blooming now and so far I've seen purple and white.

Watch List

These two houses I love to watch as they bloom, always something spectacular. (Click images for larger views)

The first one I call Rose Cottage.  One of the occupants teaches piano, so in the summer you get two pleasures just for walking by: the scent of roses, and the sounds of music.
This one is very manicured and has gardeners caring for it.
Below is an organic raised bed garden and I love the three colored trees growing together.  Lovely color in the spring.
The trees caught my eye in this picture. That clump of trees and the simple delicate flower just seemed perfect.
And last I almost missed this geranium against that red door.
Night and sleep tight,

Galloway Give-a-way

I took some time to play with graphics after a long spell of being absent.  I actually had to re-learn a few things about PSP and Expressions before I could get the image in my head on canvas.  The outline is a skeletal stroke in Expression v2.  You draw the image and then you can apply any bitmap stoke.  I wanted something that looked like a child had drawn it.  The outline is quite large, you should be able to change it for your project and make other things from it.  The sticker is 500 pixel but also 300 dpi.  Right now my freebies will be Personal Use only.  I hope this is a nice addition to your cow collection.

Belted Galloways

My dog loves to walk past these Belted Galloway cows.  He's a little afraid of them, but just loves to visit their farm.

He did something different today that he hasn't done before.  Always when I try to stop and take a picture, he gets very animated and wants to play, but today I told him to get up on the stump and STAY, SIT and he DID.  Was I surprised.  Call him Photo Man.

This evening I was searching for Belted Galloway Art and came across a few items I didn't realize the cow fan could purchase.

I did a memory painting of a Belted Galloway a few years ago, maybe I should put it on ebay.  That's all for tonight except during our evening walk, I thought it might rain but instead decided to SNOW.

Daffodils Everywhere

On our walk today the predominating flower blooming was the Daffodils.  From on doors, to walkways, to roadways, to containers.  Yellow everywhere.

I'll post more of our walk tomorrow, but for tonight, sleep tight.
