Burns Our Boy

This is my favorite picture of Burns.  I put the sunglasses on him as a challenge back in 2008 and the page kit I used was a freebie, but sorry I can't remember where I got it from.  If I find the credit I will edit this post accordingly. (Click image for a larger view) I only have this picture now because it is the wallpaper on one of my older computers.  Thank goodness I rarely throw anything away.  My software is so old that it only runs well on the older XP machines.  Currently I use a laptop running Vista but I don't dare put any of my older graphic programs on it, as others have said they just don't work well.  So, I just fire up an older computer when I want to be creative.

My daily walk was to the doctor.  I stopped driving several years ago and fortunately I am able to walk to all my appointments, well that isn't true.  I do have to take a cab to the dentist; it is only $6.00 so I don't feel it too hard in the pocketbook.  I thought I would miss driving, but quite the opposite; it feels wonderful walking and being 'in the present' with nature.  Although, I haven't taken any good pictures of late because of the cloudy and a bit colder weather.  I was stopped by some tourists today asking for directions (they were walking also and wondered which way to go).  They were enjoying looking at the old homes along the ocean.  I told them they could go left or right and just keep walking and eventually they would end up right back here where they started.  What luck - it's hard to get lost in this town.
